Examples of projects completed by the Machine Learning Center:

1. Faculty of Biology: identification and quantification of structures (“granules”) in scans of plant cells.
2. Faculty of Physics: identification of video frames in which a child is looking at a screen.
3. Military Institute of Medicine: prediction of patient numbers in a hospital emergency department (ED).
4. Astronomical Observatory: classification of stellar types based on the light curves of 68 million stars, including approximately 1,000 type-A stars.
5. Military Institute of Medicine: digitisation of data extracted from computed tomography (CT) scan reports.
